As a manufacturer Dwindle uses a multi-brand approach, continuing its mission as a hardcore skate company, aiming at serving the dynamic worldwide skateboard marketplace in various distribution tiers, with a stable of entirely unique and distinct skate brands that each occupies their own niche, separate identity, and creative direction in hardgoods and apparel.Dwindle had its start in 1988, when pro skateboarders, Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen started World Industries. In a difficult economic time, World Industries continued to grow through becoming a distribution company for many other skate brands which Rocco created in partnership with other industry pros. In 1999, Rocco and Rodney sought to expand the distribution of the World Industries brand into broader channels, and in the process, added its core multi brands and renamed the distribution part of the business to "Dwindle Distribution."In 2002 Dwindle Distribution was acquired by Globe International, an Australian based company with a surplus of proprietary, licensed, and distributed brands across many categories, including apparel, footwear, and hardgoods. Globe is an international business with its products sold in over 65 countries.
